ZeraCryl™ W
Clear Waterborne Paver & Concrete Sealer
ZeraCryl™W is a high performance, single component, self-crosslinking waterborne, 100% acrylic sealer specifically designed to protect and enhance the appearance of interlocking pavers, masonry and concrete for both interior and exterior applications.
ZeraCryl™W is based on a highly advanced nano-polymer technology. It provides a unique combination of properties unattainable with any other sealers in the market. Available in high gloss, satin finish (semi-gloss) and non-slip finishes, it offers great exterior durability, non-yellowing characteristics with excellent adhesion, and chemical resistance. ZeraCryl™W protects against water damage, spalling caused by freeze/thaw conditions, stains from oil or grease, and discoloration from dirt. It can be applied to damp concrete. Good early water-resistance and fast drying provide for faster application and fewer concerns for unexpected rain after the application.
While ZeraCryl™W is a clear-drying formulation that dries to a rich darkening, or "wet look" quality to many substrates (especially those of a dark or dark-tinted nature).
WHERE TO USE
ZeraCryl™W is recommended for concrete, stamped concrete and interlocking pavements on horizontal or vertical surfaces. It is ideal for driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks, balcony decks, etc. It is also suitable over acid-stained concrete or dye-treated concrete.

ZeraClad™W-35 is a coloured version of the above. It is a high performance waterborne acrylic urethane coating that is very durable, attractive, and UV resistant.
Available in high gloss, semi-gloss and matte-finishes, it is designed for light duty foot traffic to protect sealed wood or primed concrete slabs for exterior surfaces. It can be applied on vertical surfaces as well.
ZeraClad™W-35
is also designed to be used as deck paint over the epoxy fortified deck sealer, ZeraShield™. It is offered in solid rich coloured paints that hide the imperfections in the wood grain while accenting the wood's texture.

ZeraPrime™W-20GP is a high performance general purpose clear two-component waterborne epoxy primer that is designed primarily for use on concrete surfaces (new or old). It is light colour, flexible with outstanding adhesion properties to dry and damp concrete. Among so many applications, the use in conjunction with ZeraTuf™W (high scratch resistant coating) seems to offer the best coating system in terms of cost/field performance.
Why Water-Based Primers/Sealers?
Zeraus' high performance water-based epoxy primers/sealers have many advantages over solvent-based primers and 100% solids epoxy. They offer a wide range of characteristics that are unattainable by conventional epoxy technologies, and they can be highly beneficial to certain applications. Some of these benefits are:
Safe & Easy to Use:
They all are safe, clean and easy to use. They have no odour and contain no volatile solvents, corrosive or hazardous materials. The products are especially suited for use in areas where it is inconvenient or impossible to close down or evacuate, as opposed to other solvent-based primers that contain strong offensive odours or hazardous solvents.
Fast Setting:
Many of them offer long pot life and fast-dry characteristics. These fast setting primers may set in 4-6 hours allowing the topcoat to be applied on the same day, saving both time and money.
Maintain Natural Look of Substrates:
Most of Zeraus' water-based primers do not darken the concrete colour, thus maintaining the natural attractive colour of the concrete.
Excellent Adhesion:
Water-based primers exhibit excellent adhesion to dry concrete; some of them are particularly suited for damp surfaces or even over green concrete (less than one week old).This is of particular benefit as general contractors do not have to wait 30 days as in the case of solvent-based epoxy primers.
Ability to Adhere to Fresh Concrete:
The ability of some of Zeraus' water-based epoxy primers to adhere to green concrete (less than one week old) as opposed to 30 days old for solvent-based or 100% solids epoxy is of particular benefit to general contractors. It saves them time, and allows them to manage the project more efficiently, within the budget and within deadlines.
Breathable:
Most of these water-based primers are breathable, preventing liquid from passing through into the concrete, but allowing moisture vapour due to hydrostatic pressure from beneath the floor to exit. They exhibit excellent barrier properties, maintaining high pore resistance after long term immersion in sodium chloride solution.

Unlike other commercial oil-based stains, ZeraShield™ W is a synthetic polymer based on our unique cutting edge green waterborne epoxy technology. It utilizes the most advanced nano chemistry that is able to block UV and act as a sunscreen to protect the surface from the harmful effects of UV exposure. The result is performance that cannot be beaten by others in the market today.
It is recommended for new (weathered) or old (but undamaged) wood; one coat of ZeraShield W stain and second coat of ZeraShield W Clear. Alternatively ZeraClad W-25 clear acrylic urethane may be used as the second coat with ZeraShield W stain.
